In UK if our Government continue with their NHS
reforms and the news papers hype about "Dirty
hospitals". This bacteria is rapidly colonizing in schools,
gym and prisions.
This dangerous bacteria present not only in the unpleasant
sweaty residue left on gym equipment, but in hot-tubs, changing
rooms and even sports drinks bottles. Some of the bugs can thrive
for days in the humid gym environment, and are not killed only when
the area is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. This bacteria has
"Biofilm" and can be dislodged by vigorous scrubbing using soap and
water for 15-30 seconds.

Hand Care
Anti-bacterial soaps may give a false sense of security that
could lead to less vigorous washing. Widely used antibacterial soaps,
antiseptic hand washing gels is said
contribute to the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria. These
antibacterial agents produce a genetic change in bacteria which enables
them to become more drug-resistant (Nature 394:531-532, 199).
Dirty towels handed out to members are also a breeding ground for
CA-MRSA. This is a very dangerous organism, because it can kill in
you in 24 hours, you have no inbuilt immunity because they can kill
all the white cells in five minutes.
Bacteria and virus is picked up from a
surface such as a railing or door handle and transferred to the
face. Around 80 per cent of all common viral and bacterial
infections are spread from hand-to-mouth and nose-to-eye contact.
Good hygiene has prevented more disease than
every vaccine and antibiotic ever invented, but now due to
unhygienic practice infection antibiotic resistant bacterial
infection is the 3rd most common cause of death in the world.....

Equipment
In the Men's Fitness survey, germs were found in every nook
and cranny of the gym. On the bench-press headrest and
dumb-bells,
for instance, almost 8 million traces of staphylococcus
epidermis, a type of bacteria which causes skin infections, were
found. It is primarily the moisture from sweat that causes
problems by helping germs to grow
Gloves, used for gym boxing classes, contained another species of
bacteria linked to similar infections. Sweaty residue on gym
equipment - particularly the machines often used by several people
in quick succession, such as weights and exercise bikes.
Bacteria are colonised on the surface of various equipments. They
are said to secret a fluid called biofilm. This fluid protect the
bacteria and is not easily destroyed with any known chemical. Door
knobs, taps, toilet and bathrooms are colonised with bacteria.
Various companies have started
marketing antibacterial soap, washing liquid and even kits you can
take when you visit hospitals. Please note these are not solutions
we recommend. Giving bacteria small doses of antibiotics and
antiseptic chemicals will make them more resistant and may in the
long run cause harm to you. So please don't waste money or time

and children, spread by contact. Kissing is said to be safer than
shaking hands.
Harmless bacteria live every where. If a colony of CA-MRSA is
introduced into the colony, MRSA quickly educate and convert

If the bacteria lives in the biofilm it is said not to harm us
but once they are released they infect wounds, cuts and bruises and
the toxins act similar to rattle snake poison and kill in 12-24
